For continuous noise

Please check the filter screen of KDS Separator.
Turn off the main power supply and wash the screen.

In case the problem is not solved after washing

there is a possibility that either fixed slot bars, oval-plate units or rotating shafts may have been broken. Please contact us or your supplier.

Please check before contacting us :
1. Whether any sprockets are out upward of horizontal line of others
2. Observing from the discharge chute, if rows of oval-plate units are horizontal to fixed slots.

For sporadic noise (KDS Separator is working)

Please check where the noise is from and follow the steps below.

If the noise is from driving parts such as chains and sprockets, not a motor

please check the current value on control panel VFD (variable frequency drive) and compare it with the value at the delivery inspection.
Please check if grease is adequately applied on the chain. If not, please apply.

- In case the problem is not solved,
there is a possibility that the driving parts may be broken. Please contact us or your supplier.
Please check before contacting us :
1. Whether any sprockets are out upward of horizontal line of others
2. Observing from the discharge chute, if rows of the oval plates are horizontal to the fixed slots.

If the noise is from a motor

there is a possibility that the motor may have been broken. Please contact us or your supplier.

For intermittent noise (KDS Separator is NOT working)

there is a possibility that the driving parts may have been broken. Please contact us or your supplier.
Please check before contacting us :
1. Whether any sprockets are out upward of horizontal line of others
2. Observing from the discharge chute, if rows of the oval plates are horizontal to the fixed slots.

[Emergency Stop Lamp (RED) is on]

If the emergency stop switch is pressed down, please release.

[System Stop Lamp (YELLOW) is on]

If the system stop switch is pressed down, please release.

[Abnormal Stop Lamp (RED) is on]

Please check VFD display on the control panel and follow the instruction below.

If an error code is displayed

note the error code and turn off the system completely. Please conduct restoration work for the error.
- Frequent causes of errors
1. OL (overload)
2. on KDS Separator screens 1) adhering of sludge or jamming of sand or fibres 3. Abnormal stops of KDS Separator driving parts 1) chain breakages due to corrosion 2) an abnormal phase of sprockets due to wearing

No indication on VFD display

There is a possibility that VFD may have been broken. Please contact us or your supplier.

The system does not eject flocculant (powder type)

Please check below.

The flocculant hopper is empty

Please feed flocculant (Please wear safety goggles and gloves).
In case the problem is not solved, the device may need readjustment. Please contact us or your supplier.

If the flocculant eject opening is filled up.

Please remove the cause of the blockage. (Please wear safety goggles and gloves)
In case the problem is not solved, the device may need readjustment. Please contact us or your supplier.

Malfunctions of the feeder or the hopper mixing motor

Please contact us or your supplier.

Water for dissolving flocculant does not eject or too little.

Please check below.

Water supply is too little.

Installation of additional cushion tanks and/or pressure pumps is required. Please contact us or your supplier.

The water supply pipe is filled up.

Please remove the cause of the blockage. (Please wear safety goggles and gloves)
In case the problem is not solved, the device may need readjustment. Please contact us or your supplier.

The water supply pipe is filled up.

Please turn off the system and remove the cause of the blockage.
In case the problem is not solved, the device may need readjustment. Please contact us or your supplier.

Flocculant continuously comes out from the powder eject opening

Please contact us or your supplier.

[Abnormal Stop Lamp (RED) is on]

Please check VFD display.

If an error code is displayed

note the error code and turn off the system completely. Please conduct restoration work for the error.

No display

There is a possibility that VFD may have been broken. Please contact us or your supplier.

Normal display

Please check the electromagnetic switch and turn off the system completely. Then, conduct restoration work for the error.
After the restoration work, please try resetting the electromagnetic switch.

[Dissolution Tank Water Shortage Lamp is on]

The water level is as low as shortage level. Please check below.

- Please check the water level.
- Please check if there is adhesive material on the electrode sensor.
- Please check if the solenoid valve of water supply is working (checked by control panel manual switch). In case the valve is not working, please contact us or your supplier.

[Dissolution Tank Full-Water Lamp is on]

The water level is as high as full-water. Please check below.

- Please check the water level.
- Please check if there is adhesive material on the electrode sensor.
- Please check if the solenoid valve of solution supply is working (checked by control panel manual switch). In case the valve is not working, please contact us or your supplier.
- Please check the polymer pump.

Flocculation Tank Mixer (Overload)

Please check VFD display on the control panel.

If an error code is displayed

note the error code and turn off the system. Please conduct restoration work for the error.

No display

There is a possibility that VFD may have been broken. Please contact us or your supplier.

Normal display

Check the electromagnetic switch. If 〇〇, turn off the system and conduct restoration work for the error.

Flocculation Tank Mixer (motor failure)

Please contact us or your supplier.

E1 polymer supply pump (does not supply solution)

Please check below.

Check if any parts, such as an impeller, are worn out,

Please turn off the main power supply and replace the worn part (refer to Instruction Manual). In case the problem is not solved after replacing the part, please contact us or your supplier.

Pump failure

Please contact us or your supplier.

Raw water supply pump (does not supply raw water)

Turn off the main power supply and remove foreign substance/blockage.
In case the problem is not solved, please contact us or your supplier.

Pump failure

Please contact us or your supplier.

[Emergency Stop Lamp (RED) is on]

If the emergency stop switch is pushed down, please release.
In case it does not resume operation, please contact us or your supplier.

[System Stop Lamp (YELLOW) is on]

If the system stop switch is pushed down, please release.

[Abnormal Stop Lamp (RED) is on, Patlite is on]

Please check VFD display on the control panel.

If an error code is displayed,

note the error code and turn off the main power supply. Please conduct restoration work for the error.

Turn off the main power supply and conduct restoration work for the error. Then, reset the electromagnetic switch.

[KDS Separator Full-Water Lamp is on]

If water level is as high as full-water,

check how long KDS separator has stopped.
In case it does not resume operation, please contact us or your supplier.

If water level is NOT as high as full-water,

the water level sensor may be malfunctioning. Please remove foreign substance on the water level sensor.
In case it does not resume operation, please contact us or your supplier.

[Water Shortage Lamp is on, due to low water level in raw water tank]

If the raw water is as low as shortage level,

it will resume operation automatically after the water shortage state is resolved. Please wait for it.
In case it does not resume operation, please contact us or your supplier.

If the raw water is not as low as shortage level,

there is a possibility that the float switch, for water level detection, may have been broken. Please contact us or your supplier.
